A Useful SEO Tool – Spider Simulator

Here’s a tool which will allow you to see any web page as a search engine spider (bot) will see it. So, its useful to see if your metatags are getting picked up properly and also how much of your on-page content the spider can see.

Go to www.se-spider.com

It's a French tool so the first thing you’ll want to do is click the English flag option in the top right hand corner. Then type in the web page you want analysing (maybe your homepage), also the access code. (Ive encircled these two items in green in the example below…

Then click ‘search’ and you’ll see the metatags picked up…

If you then select the ‘page content’ option from the menu bar you’ll see the content the spider is picking up…
